Your First Phase

After you submit your profile, your Level coach immediately gets to work building your first training phase. This is the most exciting part of onboarding — you get to watch it happen live.

What is a training phase?

A training phase is a structured block of training designed around your goal. Each phase typically lasts about 4 weeks and includes a complete set of workouts with specific exercises, sets, reps, and intensity targets.

Your coach designs each phase based on your profile, your goal, your available equipment, and (in later phases) your actual performance data. Think of it as a personalized program written just for you.

Watching your plan get built

After you tap Generate My Plan, you will see a split-screen view:

  • On the left, a progress checklist shows you the major steps your coach is working through — things like analyzing your profile, selecting exercises, building your workout schedule, and setting nutrition targets.
  • On the right, a live feed shows your coach’s thought process as it builds your plan. You can see the decisions being made in real time.

This usually takes about 30 to 60 seconds.

Once generation finishes, your coach runs a quick quality check to make sure your plan is complete and well-balanced. You will see a brief “Polishing your plan…” message while this happens.

Your plan is ready

When everything checks out, you land on the welcome page. Here you will see:

  • Your training phase name — a summary of what your first phase focuses on
  • A set of tips showing what you can do with Level: chat with your coach, log workouts, track nutrition, and get weekly check-ins
  • A daily coaching digest opt-in — if you want, your coach can email you daily with workout analysis, nutrition tips, and upcoming sessions. You can toggle this on or off.

Activating your free trial

At the bottom of the welcome page, you will see the Activate Free Trial button. Tapping it takes you to a secure Stripe checkout page where you start your 30-day free trial.

  • Your trial is completely free for 30 days
  • After 30 days, the subscription is $20/month
  • You can cancel anytime during (or after) your trial

After checkout completes, you are taken to your dashboard where your workouts are waiting. Your first training phase is ready to go.

What to expect on day one

Once you are on the dashboard, here is what you will find:

  • Your workouts for the week, each with a complete list of exercises, sets, and reps
  • Nutrition targets tailored to your goal, including daily calories and macro breakdown
  • Your coach available in the chat — ask questions, request changes, or just say hello

Your first workout is waiting. Open it, follow the exercises, and log your sets as you go. Your coach will use your performance data to fine-tune your next phase.
